Professor Dr. James Mah is the Program Director in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery, Master of Science degrees and his Certificate of Specialization in Orthodontics from the University of Alberta and his Doctorate of Medical Science degree from Harvard University. Dr. Mah has authored over 100 publications and several textbook chapters. His research is focused use of botulinum toxin for bruxism, the biomechanics of orthodontic aligners and biology of tooth movement. He regularly presents nationally and internationally and is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Aligner Orthodontics and a reviewer for the American Journal of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopedics, Journal of Clinical Orthodontics and the Angle Orthodontist.

Dr. Mar graduated with a degree in general dentistry from the Faculté de Médecine Dentaire at the University of Montréal in 1999. He pursued a post-graduate residency in hospital dentistry at the University of California San Francisco and Harvard. Dr. Mar obtained a Master’s degree in dental sciences and a postgraduate Certificate in Orthodontics at the University of Montréal in 2004. Immediately following his convocation, Dr. Mar was awarded a fellowship from the College of Dentists of Canada in the specialty of orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics (FRCDC). Dr. Mar has been a part-time clinical professor in orthodontics at the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta since 2005. He is a co-President of the Edmonton Orthodontic Study Club (since 2010) where he teaches, mentors and supports dentists to empower their orthodontic skills using clear aligner therapy within their general family practice. Dr. Mar moved to Edmonton in 2004 to take over his newly acquired orthodontic practice in St. Albert, Alberta. He is celebrating the 17th anniversary of Mar Orthodontics this year. Dr. Mar strongly believes in the importance of joining the “art and science” of your profession. He combines the art of strong leadership, genuine respect and dignity, being passionate about the difference you can make and having a wellness-based lifestyle with the science of orthodontics, business management, best practice and efficiency. Dr. Mark Lowe is a private practice and group pediatric practice orthodontist with over 25 years of experience. He attended Stanford University for is undergraduate studies in biology and economics. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Lowe completed his orthodontic residency at UCSF and later was an orthodontic attending at UCSF’s community regional medical center in Fresno. He has over 25 years of experience teaching with general practice residency programs. Dr. Lowe has been using clear aligners since 1999 and teaching about clear aligner treatment since 2007.

Dr. Daniel Neves, Brazil

Dr. Daniel C. Neves has been meeting the orthodontic needs of patients in the Curitiba, Paraná area for over 23 years. After receiving his dental degree from the Catholic University in Brazil, Dr. Neves continued his postgraduate study in orthodontics and earned his certification in the field, as well as a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology, from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He served as an instructor in several post-graduate programs and currently he is a Speaker and a Key Opinion Leader of the Straumann Group, having lectured all over the globe. Dr. Neves is also passionate about golf, having worked as a rule’s official during the return of Golf to the Olympic Games in 2016 in Rio. He also volunteered as the International Relations Director for the National Golf Federation. Dr. Paulina Popnikolov obtained her bachelor’s degree in Dental Science from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), graduating Summa Cum Laude and receiving the Gabino Barreda Medal of her generation. Subsequently, she studied Orthodontics at the Division of Postgraduate Studies and Research of the same institution, participating in the International Exchange Student Program at the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the postgraduate program. She is the winner of the V Golden Bracket Award (3M) at the National and Latin American level in the Research category, carrying out a study entitled “Basal arch transverse dimension and alveolar bone width relationship to the facial biotype through CBCT” She was a teacher of the Orthodontics Postgraduate Program at Universidad Latinoamericana Campus Norte from 2017 to 2019, where she also studied and earned her master’s title; and is currently a professor of the Maxillary Orthopedics Graduate Diploma at the UNAM School of Dentistry, combining it with a clinical private practice in Orthodontics in Mexico City.

Tif Qureshi qualified from Kings College London in 1992. He is one of the Past Presidents of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists .He is a clinical director of IAS Academy, an International faculty that provides mentored education for general dentists on a pathway from appropriate simple to comprehensive restoratively focused orthodontics.  Tif has an interest in restoratively focused orthodontics and truly minimally invasive restorative dentistry.
